GASP!
Venus’ Eyes opened with a jolt as cold air stung her throbbing lungs. Her eyes stung badly and felt as though they had swollen. Large mouthfuls of air tasted heavily of salt and stung her inflamed throat. Her vision was blurred and could make sense of nothing around her. Frantic, she tried to stand; tried to jump up and run away from wherever she was currently out of pure, instinctive fear. This got her nowhere; though she was able to jump up on all four of her legs, she was brought roughly back down to the ground upon her left side wit a painful thud!
Cough, cough.
Everything ached painfully. Her entire body felt like led as she lay motionless upon the muddy ground. Her eyes remained closed as Venus tried to steady her breathing. She knew being frightened would do nothing to help her. In fact, it may only bring her more trouble. She had to rationalize. She had to remember what had happened previously. Of course there had to be a reason why she ended up..here. Wherever here was. Finally, she struggled to turn herself upright. Calm enough now to breath through her nose, Venus opened her eyes once again. They stung at first, but she kept them open until her vision slowly cleared. .
Venus saw nothing familiar. She smelled nothing familiar. Noting within her sight was even remotely familiar to her home. A heavy grown rumbled in her chest. What was going on? What had happened? And where was she?
“Where is my family?”

Breed: African Leopard
Coat Color: White with deep black spots
History: Born into a family that revolved around her very powerful father, she was the only white cub out of the litter of three. This had something to do with genetics and bother her parents holding the albino gene, but I won’t bore you with such scientific details. The clan that her parents had built from the ground up long before they were born marveled the sight of the young leopard, saying that the spirits of leopards past had blessed this child, and that she was good luck.
As she grew, many leopards, as well as other animals, heard the tail of the snow white cub and came from far and wide to see the feline. Her father, having a large ego already, was overjoyed that one of his family was getting so much attention from so many. His wise and cunning mind had already circulated a plan to gain more power for himself (and his family and clan by association).
Soon after his litter had turned one, another clan’s leader came upon the lands in hopes to see the young Venus and pass some luck to his clan. At his side was his eldest son, who was already a year older than she. Finally Venus’ father’s plan would be put into action. He approached the second leader and propositioned him with the chance of a lifetime; he would betroth his daughter to his son in exchange for a merger of their packs. Of course he accepted with no hesitation, and it was announced later that evening that she was to be married.
Venus was eventually put under the care of her mother and four other females in order to turn her into the perfect mate for the young prince. It was hard for her at first, being raised with two brothers for nearly two years, but her ‘tom-boy’ phase would quickly leave the young princess as her mother and the four females quickly shooed that idea from her mind and replaced it with proper courtship techniques, how to walk delicately, how to speak alluringly, and other (normally trivial) lady-like concepts. The few times Venus tried to object, she was reminded that it was for the good of the clan and her family, and that it would make her father happy. She eventually accepted that excuse wholeheartedly, and was molded into the perfect lady.
The teachings lasted for all of two years, until the young feline was now a full grown adult of four. Venus was soon released from her mother’s tutoring, as she had nothing left to teach her only daughter. Venus’ outlook on life had changed, and she was now more respectful than ever, only assorting her authority in cases where leopards were simply taking to much advantage of her kindness.
Sadly her father had also grown older and had passed away shortly after the merger of the two packs, naming his eldest son heir to his power.
Tragedy struck the clan, however, with the arrival of the tsunami. Not even Venus’ luck could keep mother nature from bestowing her judgment upon her clan, and they were all promptly scattered by the wind and waves. When she awoke, Venus was alone and in an unfamiliar place.
